Anyone visiting the website in the past year or so will have noticed the lack of updates. Anything happening was given to you verbally on the late DCA show or posted on my social pages. However, after a broken server around summer time this year which knocked the website out entirely (Needing a complete re-build) & the latest release on Digital Deception which was a decidedely more positive event, the website has seen the single largest overhaul since its first revision.

All the usual pages will be available such as News & Releases but you can also breakdown further, such as purely label Headlines or Sidelines. Each article will be tagged & searchable right from our very first news piece, the landmark label launch, up to the latest & forthcoming details. There’s a new comments system implemented & ratings for releases & articles so feedback away.

We’re looking at a 2012 launch for the new site, but it’s online already so if you’re visiting now, you’ll be seeing changes on a daily basis as things are built.

Ok, it’s time for a personal message from the heart:

Times change & working in music, this is no different. One minute we’re buzzing on every vinyl we get hold of, the next we’re listening to track after track & wondering where the magic has gone.

This can be seriously jarring. The love is there, so why don’t the beats work? It could triggered from anything such as a change in taste, a change lifestyle, a change in what makes us tick or quite simply a desire for something new. I’ve seen stacks of close crew move to other scenes telling me Drum & Bass isn’t what it used to be. And you know what, they’re right.

It is with great pleasure that we are announcing to you, the new sister label of Deceptive Audio. Ladies & gentlemen, we bring you: Digital Deception Recordings.

The launch of Digital Deception marks the beginning of a brand new chapter of Deception & embracing the digital era with open arms. Whilst the Deceptive Audio mission will be to continue dropping vinyl releases from all corners of the DnB globe (Literally), Digital Deception is currently selecting some of the finest in up & coming talent from our beloved scene.

Look out for the unusually catalogued, DDR000 in the coming months.

Baited breath? We think so.

Deceptive Audio is 2! Yup, two years have passed since it’s launch in 2003 & first things first, the biggest thanks have to go out to everyone that’s supported.

Just as the year comes to a close, it’s time to tell.

We have some tasty picks again from the 3D Mode camp but this time we have a colaboration on the go. How do quality vocals from the man, MC Biggie sound?

You’ve already heard one side on dub plate (Maximum to the VIPs that have been representin!) while the flip will be played for the first time on KoolLive on Sunday 21st December.
